CUBA
If you click on Cuba, the subsection of articles, books, etc. opens.

In this opening section I collect a poem that Orlando Fondevilla dedicated to me and two speeches of mine that I consider relevant. In the books subsection, I also include my book on Cuba, published in 2012, other books published by the FHC, the 47 volumes of theHispano Cubana HC Magazine, the Bohemia Magazine, FHC videos and a photo gallery.

The Hispanic Cuban HC MagazineIt contains dozens of editorials, speeches, conferences and articles on Spanish-Cuban relations and the cause of freedom in Cuba.

Since 1990, I have dedicated many days of work in favor of Spanish-Cuban relations and I believe that these materials show unequivocal testimony of the support that many people in Spain have developed in favor of freedom and democracy in Cuba. The relations of both brother countries will only be regularized, without provoking the usual controversies, when Cuba returns to democracy along the path of freedom.

Poem by Orlando Fondevila

For Guillermo Gortázar

Today I want to tell you, comrade,
-despite everything a beautiful word-
unusual comrade of lost causes,
that you know how to reverberate in your awakenings
dreams.

Thank you, comrade, for joining us
the most tumultuous crazy people on the planet
-already overflowing with madness-.

Thank you for your efforts
That's why your effort to open lights
clear delusions
dismantle silly fevers
make amends for the broken dawn.
Nothing, friend, don't be sad
that the flight of your hand does not go out
nor will the heraldic greenery fade away
of your enormous laugh
–if we do not lack her there will always be
hope-
If he does not abandon us they will remain
the chandeliers lit for
undo the damn seborucos.

Thank you, comrade,
receive a big hug there
at the end of time and the path.

Mi discurso en Cuba. Hotel Habana Libre, 16 noviembre 1995

Cactus Award to the Hispanic Cuban Foundation at the Casa de América. 1997. Thank you speech

Famous South American women in Madrid decided that the Hispanic American Foundation deserved a prize-punishment for being "unfriendly" (anti-Castro and therefore not "progressive") and they awarded us the Cactus Prize. I had the pleasure of responding with this speech. The Great Wyomin, who presided over the event at the House of America, highlighted that my boldness "seemed like a lie."
